April 4 | Poetry Pageant
The theme for this year's annual Palmer Public Library Poetry Pageant is 'Rivers'. In addition to making a $25 donation to the library, readers are asked to choose a poem about rivers to read aloud. Interested in reading, or sponsoring a student who would like to read? Contact me.

April 1-30 | Exhibit + Poetry Contest
This month, check out the Westfield Poetry Trail presented by Artworks Westfield! I'm one of 6 artists who donated visual art to their Images & Words Poetry contest. Stop by Circuit Coffee on Elm Street to see my assemblage piece entitled, Too Much for a Haiku, or visit Blue Umbrella Books, Skyline Trading Company, Mama Cakes, Two Rivers Burrito Company , or Blended Village Marketplace to see the entire exhibit.
Poets and writers are invited to compose a poem they feel best reflects the emotions of the piece or works best with the art work. Entries should be dropped off where the artwork is located. Winners will be notified by May 12th. An artist and poet reception will be held in late May to announce the winners, award the pieces of art, and read the winning poems. Visit Artworks Westfield to stay updated on this event.
